Frantic calls about deer sightings have been coming into our office all day…a stag & doe were enjoying a pizza at Cosimo’s, two deer were snuggling on the bench outside Robertson’s Flowers…there were even two athletic looking deer trying out lacrosse sticks at Chestnut Hill Sports. Rumor has it that they are all rushing into Chestnut Hill fromValley Forge Park–a much friendlier environment here, you know. We reassured everyone that the deer are just in town for tonight’s first annual Reindeer Dash–part of Chestnut Hill’s First Friday and a fun family event that will raise money for the 14th Police District’s holiday party for underprivileged children. Hope everyone will stop by tonight, buy a pair of antlers for five bucks (no pun intended) and dash the night away in Chestnut Hill.
