He’s ready to share what he’s learned and answer your questions- on every matter, from pricing to cover-creation; proofing to marketing your book. If you have a manuscript that’s ready, or nearly ready to go, and want to get it on the market right away, Hugh will show you how he did it!

Hugh Gilmore owned and operated Gilmore’s Book Shop in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, for 12 years. The business now runs as Gilmore’s Books, without a shop. He is also the author of Malcolm’s Wine, a noir crime novel set in the rare book business. He writes a weekly column called “The Enemies of Reading” for the Chestnut Hill Local newspaper and maintains a blog calledenemiesofreading.blogspot.com. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, the writer and actress, Janet Gilmore, and his talented son, Andrew.
