Steve Ladner has been a fashion and beauty photographer and studio owner in New York City in the 70′s, 80′s, and into the 90′s. He photographed for magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Town & Country, Esquire, The New York Times Magazine, and French Vogue, ad campaigns for Revlon, Chanel, Avon, and many others, as well as fashion catalogs for JC Penney, Saks Fifth Ave, Spiegels, and many retail stores across the country. He also spent 7 years living and shooting fashion in Paris, France.

Ladner4 Taxis-ChristinaSteve has been living and working out of a carriage house on Wissahickon Ave in West Mount Airy for the last 3 years. He shoots portraits, landscapes and lifestyles for private, and corporate clients, and magazine editorials, in Philadelphia and NYC.  Steve finds landscapes in many types of objects and many unexpected places: for instance, the textures and colors of a rotary phone close up, which he transforms digitally. He has devoted more time recently to shooting personal projects and creating digital art work.

This exhibit features a selection of personal work from Paris, 1985 – 1992, New York, 2001 – 2008, and Philadelphia, 2010 – 2012. People, Places and Things.
